Sonsaku Hakufu
Ok. First of all, those who can’t stand IKKI TOUSEN anymore should not read, for “Hakufu Sonsaku inside” reasons. And one second thing, some pictures are “not really”
You’re still with me? Well.
So, in order to have a little words about this girl’s story, let’s say Hakufu is the lead character from the “famous” ecchi/fighting show IKKI TOUSEN. An energetic, loyal, good-living but impulsive girl, who can’t stand being called “stupid” (baka). She is not terribly bright but immeasurably powerful despite only being a D-ranked toushi (warrior), only caring about fighting for the sake of fighting. She also harbors a powerful dragon as one of the Three Great Rulers.
Hakufu’s role in Dragon Destiny (second season of the show) is relegated to that of a minor character to allow other characters to have more show time. She only became a major character in the last few episodes, when the Battle of Chibi nears.
Why do I try to remind you what everybody know? Because this new Hakufu figure do reflects nothing about those traits of character. She appears in a cute vulnerable pose, and her expression brings a lot of different emotions from what we use to see. I am quite sure every one secretly would have loved to see her like this in the anime hehe.
But enough said.

I had terrific difficulties taking off her bra. This is a great cast off feature, but when you have to spend more than 5 minutes - and believe me, 5 minutes, that’s incredibly long when you’re doing that - to have the figure like you want, this is very irritating.
And then… well… this is still surprising to see those circles. It’s hard to believe how they could have let these things there. Guess the staff responsible for quality control had some days off during the main production of the figure, or something like that…
But that is all I have to complain about this Hakufu figure. Indeed, I like her a lot.
Hakufu is my second Griffon Enterprise figure. Indeed, some folk may remember some pics I’ve post on figure.fm (still NSFW) about an other lovely and innocent Ryofu Housen. And then, here they are together.
Looks like they are doing perverted things under this curtain… uh-huh, sorry.
It may be obvious, but I want to specify that I altered these two pictures a little, to give them a shinning effect. I thought it could be nice, and more… intense hehe.
To end with
And here the first two outdoor shots I took. I didn’t go further, because it was quite hot out there at that time, and commonly, summer intense sunlight isn’t very interresting IMO to take figure pictures. Mmmhh in fact, the images turned well once on the computer. But it wasn’t pleasant to have an outdoor photo session, so I gave up hehe. Will wait for fall and winter, sunlight is lovelier.

Tribute to Hakufu
Starting to have a lovely set of Sonsaku ^^;
Then comes Ryofu (3 units), on a par with Asuka.
The chinese dress one by Wave is very cute, but 1/10 scale that’s too short. The big cold cast one has a wrong face, but she’s damn sexy. Then, Kotobukiya version is perfect according to IKKI TOUSEN first serie design, and Griffon Ent. one matches very well Dragon Destiny design. That’s how I feel about these figures.
Recommendation
This figure is definitly not for all ages, that’s obvious. But what is the limit? The answer may be written on the box, but …
Be it said, I was happy to read some French text on this box - bottom-right frame -, this is really not usual.

While I was trimming my pictures, I noticed I forgot taking one of the Griffon Enterprise “special” base. As Shinohai said in his Talho figure review, Griffon Ent. provides nice namplates. So, if you want to see how does the one coming with Hakufu look like, it can be seen on Heisei Democracy.

Lovely pics, the veiled shots are awesome. The sculpt on this figure seems really great, especially like how the rear of her shorts are done.
Thats a really sweet Sonsaku collection ^^b Would love to have more but somehow, Ikkitousen figures are a part of my collection that I manage to strictly follow a rule of just one ^^; Just too many of them out there I guess, and I really like the non-scale Sonsaku I have so I’m quite satisfied (for now -_-”). But this figure looks so interesting, plus I’m so damned curious to figure out why it takes 5 mins to cast off and am itching to try it myself :P
Both Ikkitousen and Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny were one of my favorite series ^^. This figure of Hakufu is one of the best I’ve seen, it doesn’t resemble her in the anime but it shows her embarrassed side (which rarely or never occurred) which is kinda cute ^^.
The breasts are lovely, not many figures have such detailed breasts as this one, the other I currently remember is the resin Kan-u Uncho Gothic which will be released this month in PVC in a white version by Wani Books

While I’m not a huge Ikkitousen fan, I’m getting my first one soon, Ryomou Shimei, hpoefully it’ll be a nice one~

she definitely a cute little dragon ^^. She really is a nice figure, but I still waiting for something different. I think a figure of her based on the ending of Dragon Destiny will be real nice. The shot with the red veil is very nice, make her even more seductive.

shinohai : haha the classic rule of “one figure per character” … damn I hate this rule. I tried to respect it when I started collecting anime figures… but now with all those wonders released every single month, that’s just impossible. Now the new rule is : “like it? buy it!”. GENSHIKEN taught me that hehe ^^;
Belela-san : how you think so? To me she looks quite closed to Dragon Destiny character design in fact. Well, that’s always a very subjective point of view hehe.
I have this white Kan-u figure on preorder, and this will be my very first Uncho!! Can’t wait for it hehe ^^;

Danny Choo : the only pictures I’ve really edited are the two with Ryofu.
Luminosity / Constrast fitting for some other pictures as well, but generaly I tried to be far enough and have the right lighting on her chest to hide the circles has much as I could.
Lovely photos and good choice on the pink blanket (was it a blanket?^^) The dark purple background helps on focusing on the figure and that curtain shot with Ryofu is just awesome. Very seductive.
About the figure, well I’m not a fan of her face. The intended vulnerable expression doesn’t reach me too well. Other than that I really like the back view, especially the one with the lower angle and the purple background =)

Wonderful pics, cast off is often very nice ;p. You have a great set their of Ryofu and Hakufu, both of them look so vulnerable and sexy at the same time, especially so due to them being half nude . In the anime they looked like they could kick my ass anytime and yet look seductive at the same time lol. Griffon Enterprise did a real nice job on the two, though if you had a problem with taking the cast off of Hakufu then they should make that easier.

I tried to put them as closest as I could, but their poses can’t allow symmetrical docking, and b-chiku are hard (stop! no pervs thoughts!) so even by inclining them, that was impossible to have something interresting :’(
lu-k you misunderstood what I meant about Hakufu, I was not mentioning the character design itself, she’s one of the best Hakufu I’ve ever seen. What I meant was the “personality” side of embarrassed type of girl, in the anime Hakufu is barely embarrassed by “nudity” and here we see her very embarrassed.
Errrf shame on me, I read too fast this part “it doesn’t resemble her in the anime” ^^;

Hi Lu-k! Ever since I discovered your site with the Mai post, I’ve been reading some of your older posts. I have to say, because of this post….I ended up buying this Hakufu figure a few days ago. :)
It was my first castoff figure, so I was puzzled until I found out that the head was removable. I personally didn’t find the circles very noticeable, and I’m very happy with this figure.
For those who are interested, this exact pose is directly from the manga in an omake section. Hakufu is trying to be “serious” for a change while telling the reader about the story summary, but inadvertently looks sexy (and causes Koukin a nosebleed). She then thinks she failed and wonders if she has to take her bra off because of it.
