Akihime Sumomo

Nanatsuiro Drops anime ended lately, and even if it was not very transcendent, I really enjoyed the show. Lovely graphics, good casting and a story line I kindda appreciate. It was a serie I was looking forward since I saw the eroge CGs, beautiful master-pieces signed Ito Noizi. (or Ito Noiji, still don’t know why there are two different spelling…)

And as a tribute to Sumomo Akihime‘s amazing cuteness, I am glad to have two “totemo kawaiiiii” figures of her displayed in my room.

Nanatsuiro Drops figures

GoodSmile company first released a kit of Akihime in her school uniform, coming with Yuki-chan, that stuffed animal supposed to be the main male character Tsuwabuki-kun. Yeah this cheap-looking talking sheep puppet is the hero…

A true cutie, out last Spring. A good review is available at Obsessive Plastic Lurv. I won’t drag on this one though, so go visit shinohai‘s place for further pictures.

Then another figure of Sumomo came out from GoodSmile factories, this time dressed with her Stellar Spinner costum. (Stellar Spinner is how magical girls in Nanatsuiro Drops are called. There is always a special name that haha)
But I assume there was no information about this product, since I have never heard anything about it… until I randomly realised the figure would be released as a package with the PlayStation 2 game, in a limited edition.

Based on a common illustration of Momo-chan, this figure is certainly the one I was the most looking forward since last Winter, when Nanatsuiro Drops anime show was annonced and rumors about this kind of kit started. So, nevermind the price of the pack, I had to buy it!

About the quality of this figure, it really has nothing to envy other GSC products. Great paint job, no noticeable sculpt bumps, and a solid base and prop, said to be made with ABS. Details of her costum are very well respected, such as her boot laces or the belt arround the chest. I am still not able to understand why is there a belt here… Akihime is flat, so hey!? what the hell this belt is supposed to hold tight!? A huge mystery.

This is not the most interresting side to stare at, but here what she looks like from behind. Her huge cloak hide everything from any angle, but …

… fortunately it is very easy to fall and face a wonderful area, where your looking from this side below. *happy*

And she looks great by Hikaru’s side ^^

Nanatsuiro Drops visual book

This special box is definitely full of surprises, since in addition to the PlayStation 2 game, there is also an awesome visual book of about forty pages. Never heard about that either. It was mentioned nowhere… or perhaps on Japanese-text-only web stores, but couldn’t read it. So it is worth purchasing it even more.

Here an overview of its content.

Nona Yuuki (the girl with bleu hair) is another Stellar Spinner, and Sumomo’s rival.

Her hair turns blond when she transforms, and her sight, which is normaly bad, increases. I prefer her with blue hair and glasses though, and would love a figure of her too. In the anime, she is voice by Yuki Matsuoka (Tsuruya-san’s seiyuu), and performs also a lot of her special and unique “HO-HO-HO” laughs. She is fantastic.

I am still surprised that there were so few, even no informations about such a great figure. The fact she only comes, for now, with the game must be the cause, but still…
Anyway, I managed to grab this package at Play-Asia, and at the time I write this line, they seem to have some more.

Oh and by the way, Ito Noizi (or should I say Ito Zatsuon, her pen name for ero illustrations) latest works are now out, through the new UNiSONSHIFT game, Alice Parade. Big hit for sure ^^ (UNiSONSHIFT developed Nanatsuiro Drops game as well)
Now I am looking forward an Alice figure to go with Hikaru and Sumomo, and why not a Neko-san figure hehe.

A last word for those you wonder whether I will play Nanatsuiro Drops Pure! : the answer is no, since my PS2 is European ^^;
So… eh-heh, I’ll wait a bit longer, to collect enough money for a possible PlayStation 3 buy. This game may run on it… but I won’t grab the console for only this game, be reassured.

Sumomo is so incredibly cute I just wanna pick her up and give her a big hug xD I didn’t know a figure included with a game could be of such high quality. Though I guess it is from GSC afterall ^^

Great pics as usual. Both Sumomo figures look really nice. I’ll probably end up getting the School uni version down the road since I can’t see myself forking over 130 for the limited version. However if your a big fan of the show, it’s definitely worth it! Just ask shino who is once again poisoned by your post dood xD Great job ^^b

I dropped this anime actually after Sumomo admitted to Tsubaki that she liked him. I was like “Uggghhhhh….bored now, bye bye Sumomo.” The animation was fantastic though with all the detail and sparkles lol. I’ve seen the stellar spinner version somewhere before, can’t quite remember. I prefer Yuuki over Sumomo, her attitude and cute looks won me over ^^. It’s nice to see so much updates on your site, practically everyday lol.

that’s a pretty good grab lu-k, I have seen this figure in some japanese site, forgot which one though lol, but didn’t know she was limited to the game though. The art book is really nice too. As for the figure I like the Stellar Spinner version better (they always comes up with strange name for this magical girl dun they XD), the costume if just too cute ^^

I’ve no idea this was already released.. I saw it at some event reports and thought it was a resin kit or something… but knowing now that is a pvc fig and that is limited, it just climbed to the top of my “hunting list” xD

Ito Noizi/Noiji has a few ways of spelling because of the romanisation, it depends on which system you use (there’s more than one), kinda like why Kanaduki/Kanazuki no Miko.

AS : this is sure not a great dynamic show, so easy to drop. I made a little break at episode 6 before watching till the end. Yuuki is incredibly gorgeous. I also like her long blue ponytail.
About the amount of updates, don’t be used to it haha. Next won’t be before a week I guess. I had some great stuff to share till now, so I took advantage of it. Now there is nothing left ^^;

Lol, the school uniform figure didn’t quite cost as much as this bundle (though the set does come with a game and an artbook) so it’s not really a fair fight you evil, evil man :p I’ll get you back good someday man, if it’s the last thing I ever doooooooooo….. T_T :p

Recently aquired the figure on the left(of top pic) She’s soooooooooo cute. And my most expensive figure to date!! more than Clalaclan anyways lol. I couldnt resist her, I picked her up without even bothering to check the price, and there wasnt a label anyways so I couldnt find out….. But I bought her regardless!! So cute! And almost my tallest figure, which is strange because she’s 1/8 size and Clalaclan is too. And Sumomo is taller…. weird…
