News from mukyaa~
Fellow readers may have noticed it already, there have been some little changes on mukyaa.com sidebar and footer.
- The more visible I guess is the play-asia affilated links. Well, I don’t except much from this, but I’ve told myself “why not?”, so there it is. And that makes better “decoration” than google ads.
- I’ve found a plugin to display latest comments, which is highly configurable via WordPress admin interface. I don’t think it is really usefull for readers, but for me it is ;)
Oh and I found that there is also a RSS feed for comments, so I put a link to subsribe to it, if by any chance you want to. - And the last added feature is inspired by Danny Choo’s featured feeds. I wanted to put all my comrades feeds on mukyaa.com, but that would have been a bit too much for this little sidebar, so I made a little widget that displays randomly three of them, and wrote a page to list the whole.

That’s all for now. Next step will be a French version of mukyaa.com, but I’m still testing various plugins.
Anyway, thanks for keeping reading, and see you soon for next figure pictures ^^
I’ve also added a little plugin to generate polls. That can be funny hehe.

Ooooh~ Nice stuff~
I was wondering if I should impliment something like featured feeds, I feel kinda bad for leaving out other blogger’s RSS feeds =/

Any thought about releasing the widget for the code illiterate like me? I like the random idea. Right now I just feature the feeds of the three blogs that send me the most traffic.

I called it “widget” only because I gave him the behaviour of a widget, that is to say an easy way to add it tot he sidebar with drag & drop from the admin interface. But actually, and for now, it isn’t portable at all. I use personal data base tables to save the list of feeds, options are set into the code and it’s only working for Tarski theme ~_~;
Nevertheless I’ll try to improve it and make a better and useful version that I’d be glad to share… but have no idea how long it will take…

Nice ~ I like the changes made.
The playasia links are definitely nicer than google ads. Bonus figure pics! :D
The random rss feed is a neat idea as well.

For multilanguage posting I use polyglot. Chance are, you already stumbled upon this one.
http://fredfred.net/skriker/index.php/polyglot
I had quite some trouble getting it to work and right I am not using it to its fullest potential, since I currently don’t have the to deal with all this code mess. So I’m just using multilingual posts. The menu, sidebar and all stay in one language. That’s okay for now.
I you find something else, please let me know =)

I wish I had time to work on my site. moemoerabu v4 has been on hold for the past 2 months, lol. When I do get the time, I want to implement something like the feature feeds as well.

Cool changes you’re making. Awesome pictures and a nice web design, not much more a reader like me could ask for ^^

Hello, I came by from Danny Choo’s page. I love the photograph you have on your about page, are you a photographer ? :]

Wow I wasn’t expecting so many feedbacks (well, for me that makes a lot). Thank you guys! :)
David : Thanks! In fact, I’m now trying to install polyglot, which is the best I found IMO. It allows readers to write multilanguage comments, and that’s a feature I’m looking for.
I’m just having some trouble for the translation of what’s in the sidebar since it isn’t parsed by the plugin, so the [lang_**] tags are still visible T_T
But I’ll use polyglot.
blauereiter : hello! thank you for visiting ^^
I work in computer sciences, and photography is just one of my hobbies. About this picture, it was an early winter morning, the sky was beautiful and luckily I had a camera with me ^^

Lol yeah. That was exactly the same problem that I had^^; I think there was some solution in the comments posted on the plugin page. I lost track of it though, since it’s just too many comments.
I think leaving the sidebar in english is not too much of a desaster, since the information in it is just basic english with keywords. Those are easy to understand. I’m rolling with that for now.

The site is looking great. Great to see more and more otaku developers!
Soon I will open up an otaku developer community for us to share ideas and methods.
