Atsui!! Gimme a break…
熱い! (atsui [ あつい]). A word that every anime addict is used to ear, especially when characters are complaining about heat of the air during summer…
And well, during those last days, I definitely could have say it loudly : “ あつい !!!”

Damn that was awful. I know there are lot of places where it’s much more hot, but I’m just not used to support when the mercury reaches 35°C (95°F). The only thing I wanted to do after a (hard) day of work was to switch on the fan, and stay in front of it like Konata on the picture. Nothing more haha.
I couldn’t go for some photo sessions either, since I still melted, even at night. Don’t think taking photos of figures isn’t physical! It is! Even more when using a tripod : you have to be crouched most of the time, to contort yourself for low-angle shots… not always easy hehe.
So, till the weather was cooler, no figure pictures! orz
That was sure annoying, as I’ve received some nice pieces those last days and want to share, but it seems mother nature wanted to thaw them ;_;

See, that poor Wendy was suffuring too. I feel sad for her…
A-ny-way! Now temperature’s back to normal, I’ll resume work on figure photos.
End of holiday hehe ^^

Definitely hate the summer over here, though this year isn’t that bad for me and was still bearable. It helps that there’s A/C at the shop too I guess and by the time I get home, it’s normally bearable temperatures.
Agreed that taking photos gets you rather hot under the collar as well. The heat producing bulbs don’t make the process any more comfortable as well :/

I H-A-T-E SUMMER
I was in Japan, the holy land, during the summer events (comiket, wonder fest etc) AND IT WAS STINKING HOT!
Augh….but it was worth it….:3
Summer is prolly the worst for me since i take photos of my figures outdoors…right under the Australian sun -__-;

I’m not sure what summer is like in France, but 35°C I consider warm, lol. Guess I’m too used to the Australian summers where it can reach 52°C right outside my house. Lately I notice it’s been getting warmer which is a good thing. Means more sunny weekends for photography.

Yeah I know 35°C is ridiculous compared to other regions like Japan or Australia. But this is an abnormal temperature over here in France.
Where I live, there is a real oceanic climate (visit this wikipedia link for more infos), thanks to Atlantique Ocean (and maybe Gulf Stream, according to some theories).
That is to say summer isn’t very hot, and winter isn’t very cold. It’s quite rare when temperature goes under 0°C or over 30°C. Average temperature is about 15°C.
So… me, a frail French frog, is very sensitive to hot teperatures hehehe ^^;

I like summer because it´s so short here. It´s just a beginning of the fall and it is already only about 5°C. >.

I’m not very fond of summer too (well only for holidays, 3 months this year ^^) but there’s a difference between the heat here in Europe and in Japan or in Northern America. The heat here is a dry heat as in some places of Northern America, but in Japan and other places of N.A is a wet heat which is much worse to bear than the dry heat.
I still remember when I was in Massachusetts some years ago and the heat was unbearable, with the clothes all the sticky in the body.
I’m used to heat cause I live in southern Portugal but still I don’t like the heat.

I feel you. We had a long hot period some weeks ago. I melted in my room. I’m also located on the top floor of our house. Imagine the heat x_x My figures were tougher than me. They all survived the heat wave without any leaning…while me, I was leaning out of the window all day ^^

It’s been hot over here as well…what really sucks is I have to walk to get from my parked car to my class in the sun for about 15 minutes and don’t even get me started about parking up the steep hill and walking up to my car in the afternoon sun. I decided to get a skateboard to ease the pain of walking. Wish me luck as this will be the first time I really try to ride one.

myu : haha yeah I guess summer in Finland is very enjoyable ^^
Belela-san : southern Portugal has quite hot summers. There are loevely place to visit, but I wouldn’t go there during those 3 terrific months hehe. You have all my compassion dude!
David : I can easily imagine what you’d to support. I used to live under the roof few years ago… and OMG that was unbearable!
Anyway, good to ear your figures survived hehe.
AS : skateboarding is exhausting isn’t it? I’ve never tried… To make the way-to-office cooler, I ride my bicycle. That works quite well, but once arrived, it’s still hot ;_;
