To be continued…

Haaa! once again, Haruhi comes out when it becomes interresting. Too sad…
*uh-huh* In fact I am happy she arrived, so I have some additional time to prepare the rest. And if you think I will over-use her as an excuse, well, you are right! ^^;

Playing with Figma figures reminds me when I was a kid, when I was all the time arguing with friends to tell who would win between « super hero A » and « super hero B ».
And now, instead of making fictive stories with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys (yeah, I grew up with those green pizza eaters, love them), it is time for a « Saber versus Nanoha » fantasy!

Still the same background pictures used. References are listed in previous episode. And here the original Figma pictures below.

And a last bonus, with something I had a lot of fun playing with ^^
I could title it « Suzumiya Haruhi no Fantasy ».

Suzumiya Haruhi no Fantasy

Suzumiya Haruhi no Fantasy

Somehow Haruhi looks great this way I think. Not as much as Saber, but this suits her, doesn’t it? ^^

Hahah… fun read.
Can’t wait for my reserved Nanoha and Saber figmas to come next month… and was thinking to get the three sos-dan ladies when Mikuru is released.

Hehe…I also love the (running?) Gag with Haruhi.

Havent got my hands on any Figmas yet.But from what i hear they are far superior to the Revoltechs.

My Rei and Asuka Fräulein Revoltech look great but are not as poseable as i wish and my Revy Revoltech…well very poseable but uuuuuugly Joints.

Yeah yeah The Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles…I loved em.
Even had the Figure where you can turn April into the Cat she was turned into in one Episode

Rrrrrrrrawr^^

Hahahaha lol. Funny funny ^_^

LOL!!
Nice!!
Be waiting for more of these!!~~~
I so want Nanoha!!

interesting story :D

but I like the haruhi saber cosplay more, awesome :D

samejima : planning to grab Mikuru as well. She looks so cute ^^

Blowfish : Running gag, yeah kind of :3
The only Revoltechs I have are the all EVAs, and I definitely prefer Figmas’ articulations. But can’t tell about Fraulein.
“the Figure where you can turn April into the Cat”
Gosh! such a figure exists!? amazing ^^ I only had the 4 turtles plus Rocksteady, Shredder and his power-up version from 2nd movie.

Rin : Nanoha is great ^^ And like other figmas, her face is really well done. I am a bit sad there are only two available though.

ron~ : Haruhi always brings a touch of humor ^^ And Saber costume suits every character. Can’t wait to have Konata trying it hehe.

I’m jealous about your photoshoots. They all look so sharp, myself bought a good (in any case expensive one) photo camera, 7.1 megapixels but I get a lot of pixel noise. You know, that ugly too high jpeg compression pixels.
But yours looks always so sharp … how did you do that?

Love to see Nanoha is kind hearted, like she always is. I new Saber wouldn’t give up that easily. GO Nanoha! :D

I had a full load of Turtles Figures and accesoires…
I even had a Turtles Sewer Playset

Somewhere around the mid 90s they released the Turtle Figures that were able to “mutate”.They were basically Tranformers :D

For Example you were able to turn the Turtle Turtles in the humoid Turtles or April into Cat April etc.
Later they were even able to transform into vehicles. I had a Shredder that could transform into his Gigadrill Underground Driving Thing ^^

Too Bad im so broke right now…I want the Haruhi Figmas so bad…And your Pics make me want them even more

figmaaaaa! really great stuff you’re doing with your figmas. queen suzumiya made me lol hard.

Oh, caught the train a bit late, but updated successfully on that and wow…!! but… another cliffhanger?! Haruhi, you’re so annoying. :P

Very very nicely done! Can’t wait for the next part!

(P.S.: I really want to buy a Figma Saber now, orz)

lovely! i look forward to some fighting action in the next episode. ^^;

btw, figma saber is discontinued at many sites. i want one too. orz

Cool. I’m just fathoming a guess on what you did for the photoshopping - you took these photos on a solid bluebackground, and then using the magic wand too, selected all the white, shrunk the selection and feathered it, and then deleted?

I can’t wait until my Saber arrives.

@radiant I don’t think a blue background would be great, since Saber and Nanoha has a lot of blue in their clothes :P. I’m guessing a green screen, which is more common these days. Mind cleaning up the small parts, which may take a lot of time. I wouldn’t be surprised if it took more than an half hour each photo. Also note, after the magic tool you still need to get rid of the digital camera noise, soften the edges etc.. Regarding the background I’m certain deleting results in a transparent layer instead of white.

Hirvine : I use a tripod, this helps a lot, but limits the possible angle of view ^^;
Nanoha wants to protect the world, and Saber… well, that’s still a mystery but she has good reasons. The fight is gonna be tough ;)

Blowfish : ha yeah I remember those transformable figures. But didn’t know about the “Cat-April” one.

rain : Queen Suzumiya will conquer the world! ^^

D_Blade : yeah, Haruhi’s always a trouble-maker :]

radiant : I don’t have the skill nor the patience to make a proper outline, so magic wand was sufficient ^^
I took those bluebackground pictures, and selected directly all the background with the magic wand, changing time to time the tolerance (between 10 and 20). This works quite well.
And once all the background is selected : delete (after duplicating the layer, to have the result in a transparent one).
Then I just blurred a bit the outline, and added some lighting effect to match the background.
