Joby-kun

New stuff added to my gear – a Joby’s Gorillapod. Love its style! It looks like a giant robot about to burn you with a sort of laser beam.
Kyouka does think that too ^^;;
I got tired of my old tripod, even if its height can be quite useful time to time. But now I am playing with the canon 100mm macro lens, using a bulky tripod is such a pain in the neck with a fixed focal length. So, since I saw it in action few times, I went to get a gorillapod for mylself.
Really handy, rather small compared to a classical telescopic tripod, and it seems it can support the EOS easily. Perfect for a lot of situations, especially when shooting figures ^^; Love it!

    Always wanted to try a gorillapod but since I had problems with small tripods on compact cameras I began avoiding them. Guess I’ll try searching for one because I understand the pain that is to use a normal tripod while photographing figures.

    This one might be small, it is really robust and can support a reflex easily. A must-have in my opinion ^^

    I already saw tripods like this and i wondered if it can support the weight of a numeric reflex. My biggest tripod don’t allow me every poses so i’m thinking about invest in this Gorillapod! Thanks Lu-k!

    I’ve got also a mini tripod for my reflex but a telescopic one and it’s useful even for exterior shooting. But I see that yours have a level with bubble, great stuff for panoramic, less for figures photos xD

    My pleasure ^^ Yes it can support the weight of a reflex, it is made on this purpose =)

    Yeah the level stuff is kindda useless in my case, as I don’t do landscape photos ^^;;;

    Ive always been interested in Gorilla Pods but Ive only seen the cheap imitations and they didnt look like a good support for any kind of camera.

    Genuine Gorilla Pods do eh? Interesting!
