Extravaganza

Two days ago, thanks to people from my circle who are also into photography, I was lent a super huge secret weapon to shot some figures. This weapon is the multiblitz profilux 400 – love the name ^^;;
It was like taking out some heavy artillery, but had a load of fun playing with this lighting system. The only regret is that I wish I had some nice backgrounds or props. But this opportunity came all of a sudden I could not have prepare myself. It was fun to try this equipment anyway.

As you ca see, targets of the day were the SOS団 girls, Haruhi, Mikuru and Yuki, in their Gekisou (Extravaganza) outfits from the live concert event. Had those figures awaiting in their boxes for a while ^^;
Yup, this time I decided to share more than one single snap. Since I had those pictures stored on my HD, I couldn’t help it ^^;

I also used some photoshop alchemy once again, the same as for Yoko oppai photos. I kindda like how it ends up but I am not sure it is wise. Feel free to criticize.

A little reminder : those figures were sculpted by Kuroda Masanori-sensei – love his works – distributed by Max Factory, released in spring 2009, are 1:8 scale, have a good smell of pvc blablabla. Less talk, more pics.

    Great pics of Yuki, I regret having not purchased her. Though I know that had I, I would have also been forced to buy Mikuru, and she’s not really on my list of figures I want. Maybe I’ll convince myself that I can’t find Mikuru anywhere and buy Yuki with that excuse.

    I would like to try this professional lightning system too to see if it’s worth buying it. Although i’m doing fine with what i have at my disposal.
    In any case the rendering of those photos is very good.
    Well it’s worse than me… how many times did they stayed in their boxes??

    Your atmosphere is really good, I really like her ^^ I think that I prefer Mikuru for her colors and her style, but Haruhi and Yuki are great too. Max Factory made a beautiful work with them ^^ Thank for Shadonia links !

    Aaah, reminds me again that I’m missing two figures of this series due to cancellation from importer… No Yuki and Mikuru…

    Oooo, I wish I had something like that to play with lol. Currently I wouldn’t have the room for them though I am cleaning out my room right now xD. That sort of setup leads to much more possibilities than my desktop setup lol. I like the background that you chose, it is not something that takes your eyes away from the figures which is the main focus. My eyes instantly go to the figures and the lighting “enhancements” in the picture ^^.
