Son Goku Super Saiyan

Once in a while, here something to break the usual stream of bishoujo and moesome figures : an incredibly badass Son Goku in super Saiyan form ready to burst with rage on … Frieza probably.

It has been almost one year since Medicos Entertainment brought us this huge and amazingly well detailed pvc figure, but I only laid a hand on it recently. I was quite surprised to see it is still available everywhere in fact.

This Son Goku figure reminds me what I think is one of the most epic scene I have ever seen in a shonen – I mean fighting – anime/manga : Goku’s first transformation into a super Saiyan. And it thrills me whenever I watch/read it again ^^ (no need to detail the plot, there is tones of clips on youtube for folks who want to see that)

So, it is a kind of tribute I give to the Dragon Ball Z I grew up with, with this impressive figure which I think is the most well done Goku’s figure so far.

    I remember how anxious I was to see this scene, only for the TV station to make it worse by rerunning the fillers just before it a few times. It is true rarely do I see figures I consider “bad ass” most being cute girls really doesn't help.

    oooh! I see this one on hobbysearch's newsletter all the time. This is probably the best DBZ figure I've ever seen. It captures the moment incredibly well. I remember the days when I used to watch DBZ. So epic. I was so caught up in the series, and reading the manga too, and playing the epic cool DBZ fighting games on the Super Famicom. The second one is still the best one, IMO. :)

    Ah yeah, TV show was terribly stressful in those moments because of what you said ^^
    Can't be helped, there are way more girl figures, as there are way more girl characters in animes. More profitable. And that's what otakus want ^^

    Haha got some great memories with this DBZ fighting games on Super Famicom too! I even skipped school a coulpe of times to go and play to a friend's place, since I only had the Famicom at that time ^^;
    And I agree, 2nd one is definitely the best.
