Sumomo-chan
Even if Nanatsuiro Drops is far from having been well adapted into anime, it still locks up a great story and very engaging characters. And overall, I am completely under the charm of Sumomo-chan. I guess that is the power of Noizi Ito drawing style.
And so, after purchasing a PlayStation 2 game just to have a Sumomo figure, now it is Nintendo DS game's turn… to lay my hands on that ab-so-lu-te-ly cute nendoroid figure of Sumomo-chan wearing pajamas!! 可愛いでしょ？Kawaii desho? ^^
As it has grown into a habit, this figure is part of a (limited?) bundle which main item is the « Nanatsuiro Drops: Touch de Hajimaru Hatsukoi Monogatari » Nintendo Dual Screen (DS) game. *sigh* That makes another game I will not be able to play to ^^;
But well, I have already enough to do.
There are some other goodies in this package, like stikers, postcard, small posters… but I did not take the time to take pictures of them. So Check out Aiko's blog for all details.
Now with those three figures, I can admire almost all Sumomo's outfits : Stellar Spinner costum, school uniform and pajamas. Just bikini and casual clothes remaining.
And it is also interresting to see through these figures of the same character and from the same manufacturer - Good Smile Company - how things have evolved regarding product quality.
Nendoroid bases/supports
A big progress has been made for the stands. Since the Zoid Genesis duet, I guess, it is really easy to have your nendoroid figure set correctly, thanks to this seat-like support. And I am happy Sumomo has it too, like Al Azif and Miku.
It is such a pain each time I have to move my Death Note or Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsu nendoroids who have the old ring-like stands…
Yuki-chan is here too, always by Sumomo's side. But the funnier accessory is that cushion with nendoroid logo printed on it.
And it feels like those padded pouffe.
Seems like Sumomo-chan likes it a lot, and I understand her ^^

I’ve paid lots of extra charges for figures in the past… Like that Stellar Spinner Sumomo -_-; But it was so worth it! which by the way I got without the game, so it was actually less expensive ;)
Hey thanks for the review, you make me order it from play-asia immediately =x i purchase the bundle just for the sumomo nendoroid, i dont even own a NDS lolx. I also bought my Figma braver Haruhi with the PS2 game bundle while i cant even play the game with my PS2.

Dancing Queen : that is why bundle can really suck. I did not grab the Haruhi figma coming with the PS2 game for the same reason… but when it comes to Sumomo, I cannot resist ^^;

I avoid eBay, and order “Japan-only stuff” from a French proxy based over there.

Gilgamesh : those are sure pieces that do not have the same advertising. For this one I must thank Shino who sent me months ago a copy of a figure magazine advertising the game bundle. So I checked Play-Asia and found it.
And yeah, the Stellar Spinner Sumomo is wonderful. I have some friends who bought it with the game “thanks” to me, and they do not regret it at all ^^
As far as you love cute mahou shojou, she is a great figure hehe.

Heheh, nice grab! Thankfully I’m quite immune to the charms of the Nendoroids, so I’m able to survive this round. I look at your Nendoroid collection, and I think to myself that it’s amazing but at the same time thankful that I’m able to resist ^^; The pillow just looks too cute though -.-” But I will survive this!! T_T I will!!!!! And I’m still waiting on Primula!!!!!! X_X

Sweet!! Shino tried to tempt me with this one a while ago, but I decided to pass on her as I had no interest in the game that it came with. Good to see that you grabbed it though. The pillow looks really cute! I do hope the release a stand-alone version of her!

radiant : I am not sure about a stand-alone version, considering how things turned out for the Stellar Spinner figure. But maybe some will be avaible on auction websites. I have heard a nendoroid of her, but with casual clothes, might be released. But I am not sure about this information’s reliability :|

Awww, it’s cute how Sumomo lies on the pillow like that ^^. Now I want to get it the DS pack just for her lol. Nice detail on the pajamas and Yuki. The stand being better than it was before is really good and much better for taking pictures ^^.

Sumomo is a normal nendoroid. Same size as Miku, Al Azif etc…
