Long time not seen any IKKI TOUSEN figure on mukyaa.com, don't you think? Well, this serious lack is filled today with some pictures of another great ALTER release, representing the proud Kanu, main character in second anime season « Dragon Destiny ». And now the thrid titled « Great Guardians » has started, it is a good occasion to plunge once again in the flying-skirts mood of IKKI TOUSEN.
Let's go!
Kanu is a charismatic girl in this universe. First because of how she fights, with that legendary and invincible Blue Dragon Crescent Blade. And the way she appeared in the first season lets the spectator knows immediately she is a tough lady, and even with her status of minor opponent, she became very popular.
I am not going to chatter about the origine, but I recommend to read the tones of information on wikipedia about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and famous names who inspired IKKI TOUSEN story and characters, starting from Kanu's, Guan Yu.
Then she takes the lead in Dragon Destiny, wich is focused on Seito Gakuen and the rise of Ryuubi. And consequently, there were more fantastic scenes featuring Kanu. Remember, during the fight in the river, when she get up again like a mermaid with a wonderful hair flow… ahhh~ love ♥
And with those intense moments, it is always possible to have a peek at her most significant trait: the reverse-cleavage.
That's why Kanu is great ^^
Can't wait to see her in “action” in Great Guardians, as much as Ryofu who is back from nowhere - wasn't she dead!? - for more ecchi scene. I won't complain about that, love Ryofu too ^^
*uh-huh* well, shall I stop fantasizing? ^^;
Kanu figurine, from ALTER
Mirano has sculpted one of the first Kanu figurine based on Dragon Destiny's character design, easy to recognised thanks to the typical crossed-hair-fringe. The shapes of the face and the eyes are also widely different, but one thing is sure, the modelling is quasi perfect!
The main attraction is definitely the flow of her exaggeratedly long hair, rolling around herself. This is somehow magic, isn't it?
And at last, a very short skirt blown up enough to reveal everything under. That is the Kanu I saw in the anime show, the Kanu I like, and I am completely seduced by the result.
So I have high expectations about Chou’un Shiryuu figurine I have also ordered. See you next month for that ^^
I just have one reproach regarding her spear, the Blue Dragon Crescent Blade. It does not look as impressive as it could have and a bigger blade would have been perfect I think. But that is just a detail.
Mmmhh in fact I have a second reproach, easy to find by looking at the pictures. Or rather by looking at what is not on the pictures : the base. Yeah, one more time, that damn base. It is large. It takes a lot of place for nothing. And it is ugly. Just a plain transparent light blue disc. No inscriptions excepted copyrights and where it was made… *sigh*
A good thing Kanu can stand without it though. Hope I won't be blamed for not showing it ^^

i never liked the ikki tousen series but and i sold off my boyfriend’s ikki tousen figures when he gave me all his figures. but i will say alter did a damn fine job n this figure.
Really nice figure with sweet amount of detail, even the socks look great and tempting ^^ Amazingly I’m still sticking to my only one figure per character rule for Ikkitousen so this was passed for me =P I really like how her hair circles around her though, but this is one rule I set that I’m determined to stick with somehow, so your sweet pictures will have to be enough for me =)

argg you beat me to it in posting Kanu, guess I need to get my lazy ass off the chair and start shooting. Great shots, this is one of my favourite figure of Kanu. Oh you can cast of the skirt but removing the top part is quite hard though and there’s the danger of breaking the hair when removing it.

Mine will arrive at my friend’s shop in approximately two more weeks and can’t wait for it. Kan’U is definitely my favorite gal of Ikkitousen, also like Ryomou but Kan’U kicks ass in terms of beauty. I also pre-order Chooun from my friend, I guess Alter will probably make some Ikkitousen figures, hope they make Ryomou

I’m afraid that my Kanu love might result in over 5 Kanu’s in my collection xD, I already have 2 and might get more in the future. This is a great looking Kanu and one of the one’s that actually capture who she is face wise. There are others that make her look “too girly” lol. We want the serious Kanu who kicks serious ass :P. The raised skirt is pretty good, wind just passing underneath her skirt and her not caring xD, total Kanu. The shape of the legs are great as well.
Always was more of a Ryofu Hosen Man myself. But I still have yet to find a figure of her which really sets me alight. Kanu is a distant second fave and the rest are even further down than that!

This looks delicious… but yeah as you said, it’ll be challenging for me to get this figure as it is expensive and shipping ain’t cheap.
This is by far my favorite PVC Kanu. Alter did a great job, but like you, I cannot stand that ugly plastic base. I mean would it have killed them to at least put a dragon or logo on it? I would display her without it since she can stand but I don’t want her to tip over. Sigh. Lovely pics btw!

Finally got mine this week and I out of the three Kanu figures I currently own, this is definitely my fav! (also have Cerebrus Project’s and Wani Books Gothic Lolita’s)
Honestly the only complaint I have w/ this fig is they really need to include instructions every once in awhile on how to take off the various plastic wrappings. Took me forever to get the main one off the body after figuring out where the 2 body parts connect ^^;;

the figurine is cool and all…
but the photography on all these anime figurines is absolutely insane. i am a graphic designer and i could not get the lighting half this good. i spend hours looking at photos trying to figure out if they are real or just graphics.
