Ala ala, I had this song stuck in my head for hours… But I like it. To me this is the best Yuko Goto song performance. Obstinately wrong and awful, so foolish… I love it!
Anyway, all this to say that my SOSdan is growing little by little, with the last arrival of Mikuru-chan.
Figure Review
What should I say about this figure, excepted that it is almost perfect? As Haruhi, this is great Max Factory we have there.
If there is something I like more than everything, this is the respect of character design, and mainly the face expression, which is the most important in my opinion.
Haruhi’s mythical enthusiasm was already very well transposed, but here, this cute little worried face, which is about to show some tears, this is just perfect.
Her clothes and hair have nice details, such as the laces or the blue badge. Mikuru has also her lovely little beauty mark on her left breast. Ok, it’s just a dot, not the real star-shaped mole, since this is very small, but who cares?
The accordance between the bases is pleasant. Haruhi’s one is red, whereas Mikuru’s one is yellow… the same set of colors as the “Character Song” album covers. It’s a very kind idea, if they keep a blue one for Yuki etc…
The only thing I’m worried about is her fragile pose. Shaking the base a little makes the figure move a lot, since she’s only fixed with one feet, and her body is a bit off-centered.

Maybe I’m exaggerating, but Max Factory outdid all the pvc figure market, and the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu serie is the proof. And now that Yuki will be released soon, followed by Ryouko, it would be unforgivable if Tsuruya-san isn’t turned into a figure.
Then, the last thing I wish is a Kyon, his sister and Itsuki figure, in order to have all the band. Dreaming is nice ;)

At last, two pictures, inspired by those illustrations on which we usually see a main character surrounded by all the chibi others, or represented through puppets, see what I mean?
I took my Bandai “Hare Hare Swing 2″ gashapons for that. I only put the three girls of the brigade, ’cause in one hand, I don’t have a Kyon who wasn’t in the second wave of these key chains, and on the other hand, it was hard enought to balance two of them ^^;

About this figure, not very fond of her face I still prefer the Bunny version and Nurse version I think those are the more realistic face expressions of Mikuru

Great pictures again! I bet Max Fac Mikuru will be another deplorable leaner as their Ignis was, but I can’t help getting her! Her face is perfect, as you said, and damn cute! My Haruhi is on her way to my house, Mikuru will be the next! Mikuru beam, hit meee!! :)

And for bunny-girl, the only one I like is Freeing 1/4 figure, which is beautiful, but I’m not really into such big statues. I’ll appreciate her through your pictures, guys, hehe.

Shinoai & ron~ : Hare Hare Swing key chains are funny and lovely. I’m just sad to not have been able to find the first gachapon serie. Anyway… and I always keep Yuki and Mikuru attached with my keys :)

Very cute pics. We all wish for the cast of Haruhi to be released ^_^. Then we can enact our own little Haruhi episode, I have a sick head lol. It would be an even better figure than it already is if Mikuru had the star-shaped mole, but that would a bit on the extreme side.

I’m still waiting for my Haruhi figure…=( Out of all the figures I think this one is the best. It’s like you said, the respect for character design. And they perfectly captured Haruhi’s character in this one.
@lu-k and Danny Choo> That what moeyo folks did with Mikuru wasn’t as shocking as they did with one Bome’s Kasumi Black! They ripped her apart in an unrecoverable way. And it is a rare and expensive figure!
I’m worried with the greed of japanese makers. Why this Mikuru is more expensive than Haruhi?!
I have no idea about it… may be the fact Haruhi’s cheaper is just a commercial gesture or something like that…don’t know ^^;
