Escape from Jungle

Folks who browse my Flickr gallery time to time may have already seen these pictures I took some days ago.
I’ve finaly had the time to write some lines about it and expose them through this article.
Ignis felt lonely, so after I’ve been reassured by super rats‘ review, I’ve invited “Kaze No Ushiro O Ayumu Mono(what a long name! let’s just call her Kaze for now) to join the beautiful great red-hair-warrior.

Kaze No Ushiro O Ayumu Mono

It was a long trip with a lot of obstacles, because of the very bad state of my garden with quite tall grasses. But thanks to her promptness, this young girl as nimble as a feline has managed to come in one piece, escaping from this dangerous jungle.

A nice figure, with a pose which brings more dynamism to a collection, especially side by side with Ignis. Those two make a great duet.
Alter did a very good job with the leg and the base binding, reinforcing them with a metal pipe.

Considering the overall, Kaze has lovely details, but I was surprised to see that her nails/claws are the same color than her skin. That’s the only sad point, and it’s not really important in fact.

Discussion

  1. Really good choice of setting. Looks great.

  2. Very nice shots. Did your neighbours see you lying on the ground thinking what the heck you are doing?

  3. Interesting setting, outside shots with natural light are much better for figures. The only problem there is now is the heat.

    The wrinkles on her shorts are extremely and interesting well made, figures with wrinkles on their clothes makes them more real.

  4. super rats : thanks! I was kindda inspired by your “bamboo” forest ;)

    Adun : mmhh don’t know if they saw me this time, but I remember one was looking at what I was doing for Masane & Haruhi pictures.
    I waved him, but didn’t have the time to chat. I wonder what he was thinking about hehe ^^;

    Belela-san : Yep, heat is starting to become a problem, and I’d add that summer lights aren’t as interresting as the ones we can have during spring or fall. Too much intense IMO.
    The figure has very well detailed clothes, and I love those little shorts, with nice wrinkles, as you said :D

  5. Nice pics you have there ^-^ . The fourth pic from the top looks funny to me, it looks like she ran into the “gigantic plant” lol. The last has a great “view” ;p.

  6. great outdoor settings lu-k ^^, saw this photos at your flickr a while ago, so I was kinda waiting for u to post it on your blog ^^
    no shot of her finally meeting Ignis

  7. Also spotted these on flickr and was awaiting the unveiling :D
    Beautiful pictures. She looks great in an outdoor setting. Ahh, fresh air!

  8. AS : haha yeah, she’s been caught by the plant ^^

    valho : I did some shots with Ignis, but the swordwoman doesn’t fit that green background. She looks better in a chaotic scene, I think.

    aka_ugly : I think so as well. Kaze has nice colors, and this kind of outdoor setting suits her well.

  9. It’s true outdoor shots provide a good light for figures, even though it’s harder to “control it” and keep a constant overall lightening during the whole shot. great pics buddy ;)

  10. I can’t believe it’s a 1/8 scale. The backyard almost looks like a real jungle =P Or maybe it’s just because you know your stuff^^

    Great photos!

  11. XD
    I love this photo shoot! I love plants :3
    You could prolly tell with my photos ^^;

    Great choice, I’m prolly bias but I really do like it, has a certain running-through-the-jungle thing to it~

  12. Angelo : yeap, especially whem the weather is a bit cloody and the sun’s playing hide and seek ^^

    David : trust me, it’s a real 1/8 scale. My garden is a true mess, and grasses are very tall -_-;

    Aya Kyunik : I’m glad you like those pics that much :D

  13. Nice background. If you felt like a salad after the photo session then that would have been good timing ^^;

  14. she looks very small because of those big grasses :O

    1st picture is the best ^^b

  15. This set reminds me a 60′s TV series “Land of the Giants”, he he. Regrettably I don’t have a garden, I live in a flat. My bigger complaint is that this figure is a bit skinny and don’t have really seized the sexy Niθ’s character.

  16. Uaaaah! KAZEKO!! Kawaii:) She is one of my favorites. Certainly, she has quite a long name “風のうしろを歩むもの – the walker behind the wind”. So, everybody called her KAZEKO… ちょっと懐かしいネ。 Feel it a little bit nostalgic:) http://circle.zoome.jp/eroge-r18/media/599

  17. Hehe yeah really like her style. Among all Nitro+ characters she is one of my fav too.
    Kazeko then for short… didn’t know about it, thanks for the info! Sounds way better than just Kaze. Does the last “ko” stands for “girl”?

  18. Yes, exactly. “ko – 子” symbolizes girl’s name in Japan. KAZE-KO is described as 風子. Tokiko-san 斗貴子さん is the same case, too^^; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Buso_Renkin_characters#Tokiko_Tsumura How about in France. Are there names symbolize it?

  19. You like Tokiko? kakkoii! ^^
    There is not really such a thing in French, but there are names exclusively for girls or boys.
    Also as you may know, a lot of names have a masculine and a feminine version, for example Stéphane / Stéphanie.
    All those languages derived from Latin, with a lot of borrowing from Greek… that’s complicated and definitely not comparable with Japanese ^^;;;
