Let me introduce you (again?) a quite old figure of Takako Kinoshita from the dating sim series Pia Carrot e Youkoso! (Welcome to Pia Carrot!).
Some figure addicts must have already seen her at Sector6 Slum Junk Shop. That’s where I’ve discovered this lovely girl in a chinese dress, and first heard of Pia Carrot. Unfortunately, she’s been sold out for a while, but recently there were a little restock on HobbySEARCH, and I managed to have one. Lucky!
Pia Carrot e Youkoso! is one of those true gold mine for derivated product industry, thanks to the success of each games. And consequently, there is a lot of figures related to this universe full of lovely waitresses.
Takako is one of them. Well, I guess, since I have absolutely zero knowledge on this subject, excepted the few lines I read on Wikipedia, where I learnt that she’s from the third opus of the serie, which takes place five years after the begining, and she has the same family name than the protagonist of the very first Pia Carrot episode.
I’m really curious about the whole Pia Carrot story, and would like to learn more about it and all those characters, but there is only few +18 only OAVs, not easy to find, and the games, not really accessible… *sigh* nevermind.
Like more than half of Pia Carrot and ToHeart figures, this one is manufactured by Kotobukiya, and was first released in spring 2004. It is obvious she’s not as well sculpted as the latest pvc products from this brand, but she amazingly well painted, with terrific details all over her dress. I guess the older resin version is even better.
This Takako figure may looks small for a 1/7 scale, due to the pose, but put next to a 1/8 scale figure, the difference of size more visible. Uh-huh… it depends on the 1/8 scaled figure you chose in fact… ala ala, I still don’t understand the rules.
Let’s point the main sculpt defects : mold lines on her thighs and arms, kind of mistakes used to be seen on figures older than 2-3 years, and strange looking fingers.
But, her outfits are so gorgeous that it doesn’t matter. And even if I’m still wondering how the hell her hair can stand like that, I like it!
Product Information
- Manufactured by Kotobukiya
- 1/7 scale completed pvc figure
- First released in May 2004 in Japan
- List Price of 5,800 JPY

Ohh, it was you! ToT
I saw that she was restocked at HS, but was already sold out the same night. Yeah, I’m one of those Hobby Search lurkers knowing when they update their inventory, hehehe :p
I remember those pics on Sector’s blog and adoring her beautiful Chinese dress. She’s very elegant! I do agree those fingers are kind of long ^^;
Lovely pics & congrats on obtainger her~

Ah, a nice one~
Simple props but really looks appropriate~ XD
The paint is lovely and the sculpt is still nice. The only Pia Carrot fig I got is Rumi in her uniform and that devil Sana~ Havn’t played the games tho…

You’re not the only one with zero knowledge, and I haven’t even read the few lines in wikipedia ^^”
She has a beautiful dress alright, with eye-catching right-hand fingers, but I agree that the dress more than overwrites that. Sweet setting for a sweet figure =)

aka_ugly : erf… yep it was me, I guess. Don’t know how many units were available, but it seems they all have been sold quickly. I won’t say I’m a lurker, it is just that I subscribed to their rss feed, and saw that there was a restock. Usualy, I’m still sleeping when there is an inventory update. I guess I was very lucky ^^;
Aya Kyunik : I’ve been tempted a lot of times by Sana. Don’t understand why I didn’t ordered her yet. But now I have one Pia Carrot figure, maybe I’ll be looking for more of them :)
super rats : there is so many figures I wish there was a restock T_T
But there is also so many figures to come… so it’s a good thing there is not many restocks hehe.
I wouldn’t have qualified those china dresses as cute, since they are quite seductive provocative, in my opinion ^^
valho : very long and wavy hair do are gorgeous. There is always a character with this hair cut in animes/games, and she’s often very seductive ^^
shinohai : I often browse wikipedia (wisely) when I have no idea about who is the character I have a figure of, especially when it is eroge-related ^^
Then I have something to answer when friends ask me who is this or this girl :
For example :p

A gorgeous figure with some flaws, but I like the way she looks. Not too sleazy and I’ve also come to like those china dresses^^ Nice photos as well.
I’ve never played one of those dating sims, never got into it. I’m more of a fighting game guy. I recently tried some of the doujin games, which are quite entertaining.

Oh this is old, you can see how old she is due to her sculpt, especially on the hands, but the face is very nice.

Sweet pictures. I have ecchi pictures of her doing #$%& ^^;

You don’t find figures dressed in china dresses very much. But this is definitely a nice looking figure.

Mmmmm….hot dim sum girl ;p. I want a piece of her pork bun lol.

David : what do you mean by “doujin games”? with erotic content or just games made by fans?
Belela-san : yeap that’s right, the sculpt issues are the poof of her age, and fortunately there are less and less of those kind of errors. Massive production of pvc figures have considerably improved.
Danny Choo : want to see them ^^;
Sector6 : the pictures you’ve already taken are great enough, since they managed to seduce me about the figure. This is your fault!! hehe. But still looking forward the new ones, now that you’ve mentioned it.
And so, you do have Pia Carrot DVDs… you lucky boy ;)
Adun : Well, now I have three figures of girls wearing china dresses : Takako of course, then the little 1/10 Hakufu made by Wave, and the MaxFact. Shenhoa. But you’re right, there are not many figures like that, despite this kind of outfits is so darn hot!
AS : haha me too, me too, whatever is in xD

Games made by fans^^ I haven’t seen any fighting game with real erotic content yet, safe for this really lame Mortal Kombat clone with naked girls…which doesn’t count.

Lovely pictures! This is a great figure even for its time, the detail on the china dress is wonderful to look at.
