Alicia Florence
Ara ara *giggle*
It is something that sounds really familiar to ARIA fans, who have easily recognise the most famous undine in Aqua : the White Fairy Alicia Florence!
Max Factory annonced a great figure of her about four months ago, in may, and she finally arrived this week between my little hands.
Is there anything more feminine than this lovely gesture consisting in putting-back once hair behind the ear with just one or two fingers? I don’t think so. And this suits very well Alicia, so does this half-leaning pose, and her long shiny blond plait waving in the wind.
It is quite hard to tell where those gorgeous deep blue eyes are looking at, but this dreamy face is so soothing. As expected from Alicia-san.
The figure is about 18cm tall, and comes screwed to its large transparent blue base. A bit sad, but I assume it is a good way to prevent the figure from usual leaning problems, even if it is said to be maid in both PVC and ABS. Yeah yeah, it is written on the box.
Alicia is also chaperoned by that loyal yet puffy Mars cat ARIA-shachou.
This kit was sculpted by Max Factory artist Kuroda Masanori, who perfectly surrounded Alicia character through this figure, in my opinion of course.
For folks who don’t know yet who is Kuroda-sensei, let’s just say that he also worked on the popular Haruhi Suzumiya figure, and also Ayu Tsukimiya and Saber figures I have on pre-order. He also sculpted Ruca figure from Ar Tonelio 2, a kit scheduled to go on sale in February 08. Can’t wait to have those as well.
Mmhhhh starting to think that having a collection makes you impatient everytime… *sigh*
And I wish other undines will be turned into figures by Max Factory, but I am not very confident about that, since they started with Alicia wich is the most popular character from ARIA. But well, let’s hope so!
While Akari leaves the ARIA Company centre to train with her friends Aika and Alice, Alicia stay on wharf, by ARIA-President side, both looking at the trainee undines rowing away…

I got this one too — finally a good Aria figure! Alicia is by far my favorite, so it’s good they started with her. Hopefully this is the start of MF’s Aria figures.

AS & aka_ugly : thanks! this is indeed the same place I went to take pictures of my ARIA trading figures, a swimming pool with a half-sphere shelter on it. Kindda like to have this background for “water-related” figures.

Although not my favourite character, she still brings a girly elegance atmosphere when I see her.
Arrrg, to buy or not to buy, I’ve only read the manga with some peaceful music, brings a tear to my eye when I think about how beautiful an experience it was.
I just collected her from the post office for a friend of mine. Detected one defect in the cat. Other than that, good solid work as expected from Maxfactory.
I also echo the sentiment of the rest: This figures has a truly great pose, her lean into the wind feels really human.
Aya Kyunik : have never read the manga, but I’ve heard that it is much more complet and explains a lot of stuff. Though, hearing undines voice is something wonderful in the anime, and th sound tracks are perfect :)

Lovely shots. Looks like an aboslutely lovely day while you were shooting. I was going back on forth over this figure while I saw that she was low stock, then she was suddenly back to normal stock, so I relaxed a bit, then she was suddenly discontinued T_Tp
In a sense I’m hoping GSC doesn’t release the other undines, since there’s gonna be a mad scramble on my part to try to get em all ^^; Ah, who am I kidding? I’ll get Alicia soon enough x_X;
Lovely pictures, the sun highlights the summer feel of the figure wonderfully. I love the soft graceful lines on this figure, makes me want to watch the show.
Lvovely figure indeed, mine hasn’t arrived just yet. Still, many figures to go through first before I get a chanc to take photos of her.
Nice shots there but it’s sad that I couldn’t get this gorgeous figure cos the local store cancel the order on last minute T.T I thought Kureha will be enough for me but after looking at these shots it makes me want it even more now >.
Very nice pictures the first picture especially has the same feeling from the anime and the background looks like the one from Aria company.
Even if Alicia isn’t my favorite (Athena fan XD), I must admit that after seeing these pictures I’m tempted on buying this figure.
