Among Kanon main female characters, Ayu Tsukimiya is maybe the most outstanding girl thanks to her famous catch phrase ã†ãㆠ(uguu). If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, then go watch Kanon and/or grab the special uguu voice cd at MoeMoeRabu and just listen to Yui Horie’s amazing performance. But for now, stay with me to enjoy one of Max Factory latest figure, representing of course this cute little Ayu-chan.
All is there : winged backpack, red headband, mittens, boots and old-school socks… and her face expression really looks like she is actually saying that special “uguu” of hers.
The figurine is sculpted by Kuroda Masanori. Remember? I already talked about his talents few days ago when presenting Alicia Florence figure. So I had actually high expectations for Ayu, which are all confirmed!
The only thing missing is taiyaki. Damn, talking of it make me want to eat one now…
The two arms are removable, so as the head and her hood, which comes in two different settings : one with black bag-straps, that may be used with the winged backpack, and one without. All fit well together, and joints are not very visible.
Ayu also comes with a pair of angel wings, sculpted in a semi-transparent plastic. I won’t explain why those wings are provided, not to spoil those who didn’t watch Kanon yet. Though, hey are very well done, and I guess that if Max Factory does the same great work for Shana figure’s hair coming next month, that will be just awesome.
But handle them with care… or you can be hurt. Those wing’s edges are damn sharp!
When the wings are set, it is better to use the hood that doesn’t have the bag-straps. Well, the most observant will notice that I still used the first hood… only ’cause I forgot the other one at home hehe. That was for the little story.

I was kindda of disapointed by Kotobukiya’s Kanon figures, so it was really exciting to see that Max Factory would launch into Kanon as well. And for this first figure, I am very satisfied. Each time I look at Ayu, I can hear one of her 86 different uguu~

The photos this time look too flared out by the sun. You should probably have waited till near sunset to take these photos. Though it would’ve been awesome if you actually had snow, lol.

The sun is a bit too strong, it makes her skin too pale =\ The last picture is nice though.
This one is indeed the best kanon figurine out there, as expected from max factory

Those first few photos do have a harsh light, and I know how annoying it can be to get good lighting.
The last photo is prolly my fav out of the bunch.

Ouch, strong outside light. I’ve been there lol, I wanted to take pictures of Kanu in the sunlight but the sun was so strong that I had to go in the shade to take the pictures. It’s just not cool when nature doesn’t want to work with you ^^. The wings are beautiful and pointy lol, I wish I had a set of those for some of my figures, a very nice complement. I honestly didn’t watch Kanon, the art is just not for me ^^, but the “uguu” interests me.

she’s such a cute figure with the angel wing and all, but I know next to nothing about the anime hence that give me a reason to skip her XD. The sunlight is a bit harsh it seems but the last shot is nice, beautiful shots as always

I really liked all the pictures! just the last one with the backpack seems to bright, but is nice to see pics taken outdoors. I haven’t seen the anime, but I’ve seen lots of this character pics for some reason… I’m waiting for mine! And I do agree that is the best of the figures done so far.

Lovely pics man, makes me look forward to getting her soon ^^ Nice outdoor scenes, my area could use a little more green and sun actually, though asking for the sun is pretty much impossible during autumn actually (which is what I prefer anyways, hot weather sucks ^^;)

Yeah I assume this intense sun light alters the real colors of this lovely figure. But in a way, I kindda like how things turned on those pictures. I especially love second and third pictures.
Weather here changes very quickly, so it is impossible to wait for a better light, since it can also become worse hehe… and most of all I didn’t want to wait ^^;
Snow is pretty rare as well, and it’s also too soon for that. But I’ll sure go take more picture of Ayu if there is snow on day arround that tree ^^
Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments guys. I have another batch of picture with another figure, taken the same day at the same place, and I think I managed to have something more… sweet ^^

Light at the photos is perfect. It reminds me about last episodes of Kanon. Mood is right. ^^ Love those wings. So pretty and fluffy.
I´m more into Clannad than Kanon, so I hope Max Factory will release figures from it too.

I guess she would do great in a snowy environment during dusk or dawn, with lamps as a source of light (being a bit poetic here).
I know it’s not the season yet and you got to be lucky to have snow in France (I’ll be home soon for vacations!) for such pictures to be taken, but well, I wanted to state that.
Very good photos and this figure has much moe appeal otherwise (yep, for once no need for light clothing for moe to occur). Quite some sweet impression it left me with (the unavoidable “Aww…”).

I really need to watch these series, only saw the last two episodes but her uguu really catch me ^^ but with so much to watch new releases and classic ones really cuts my time.
The sun in the pictures was a bit to much intense which “eats” some of figures color for the pictures, I don’t know at what time you took the pictures but it seems it was in afternoon near 15:00~17:00 or less (correct me if I’m wrong ^^), I recommend taking outside pictures early in the morning or at sunset but sometimes at sunset the sun is to “yellow” to take pictures.
Still the pictures are gorgeous ^^.

Pictures were taken arround 13:00 and 15:00 ^^;
After that clouds arrived and I couldn’t go on…
During this season, morning light is the best in my opinion, but I was to sleepy that saturday :p
