Ar Tonelico
It has been a long time since I last turned on my PlayStation 2 to play some good “old school”
But lately, I bought Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia, developped by Gust Corporation, who made Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana I used to play before. This is the first reason I wanted to try this game, and the second is that I loved what the OAV released on March 2006 showed us about this interresting universe.
Therefore, since the European version of the game is available for two weeks now, I removed the dust on my faithful PlayStation and go for Ar Tonelico. I want to learn more about the Reyvateils and “song magic” ^^

At first, it reminds a lot games from the Atelier Iris serie, and it can feels like you’re playing Atelier Iris 4, since you can create and custom a lot of items thanks to alchimie, called here “Grathmeld”. But that’s not a bad point, from the time you love switch between lot of menu and combine all kind of stuff. Personally, I love that ^^
But with Reyvateils’ power, the gameplay is really entertaining, and even if the story looks very common at the beginning, it becomes more and more bewitching.
I’m far from the end of this first opus, but will definitely try the second episode as well.
I also borrowed Final Fantasy XII to a friend, so I’ll have a lot to do for a while. I’m like that… sometimes I’m looking for a game to play, and sometimes and have too much things to try that I don’t know which one to choose. *sigh*
So cruel…

Man, it’s sweet that you got this game, a really nice game definitely. Sounds like you really have a lot on your hands for now, with FF12 as well but gaming is always a good thing ^^b
Just picked up Persona3 two days ago and didn’t dare to touch it since I hear it’s very good and I get addicted easily :P But I’m gonna play it tonight, and I guess I’ll see you in about a month or so, lol. =P

Haha yeah it can easly become addictive!
I find again the pleasure given by gaming, but I try to limit the time I spend on my PS2. Still have a lot to do aside (and I don’t count taking figure pictures) T_T

Well, their is a big part similar to a sim date game, where you talk with your two magician girls, who seem to become more and more in love with the main character haha.
Both can gain new costumes as well, and some are very very sexy ^^;
Aaahh the more I play, the more I love this game!
